In order for further study and implementation of President Xi's work on the history of the new socialist history, new socialist history, history of the development of socialism and the new crown pneumonia prevention and control work, the School of Economics actively responded to the call of the school and organized a series of activities of ‘learning four history’ and epidemic prevention and control knowledge.
To celebrate the 71st anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China and the 74th anniversary of the founding of Jilin University, the school of economics held the ‘party history, university history, epidemic prevention knowledge competition’ online on the anniversary day, covering 63 student cadres of the League organization of the school of economics. This competition sets up topics from multiple perspectives, focusing on students' memory of basic knowledge such as party history, university history and fighting epidemic knowledge, as well as their understanding of theory and spirit. 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 8 third prizes were awarded to students.
In the middle of October, the essay competition with the theme of ‘fighting the epidemic together and patriotism’ was held. A total of 22 essays were received with various forms. Finally, one first award, two second prizes, three third prizes and three excellent awards were selected for groups; one first award, two second prizes, four third prizes and seven excellent awards were selected for individuals. At the same time, the excellent works were collected into the second issue of ‘Jingwei youth theory’ anthology of ‘fighting the epidemic together, patriotism’, and publicized on the new media platform of the Youth League Committee of the school.
From October to November, all undergraduate League branches of the school of economics successively held exchange meetings, study meetings, seminars and other activities with the theme of reading ‘four histories’, and received 36 activity materials in total. This online theme League Day activity promoted the cultural cultivation of League members. The Youth League members will keep in mind the history of struggle and become qualified socialist builders and successors in the new era.
The theme activity of ‘learning ‘four histories’ and epidemic prevention and control knowledge’ deepened young students' understanding of historical regularity and grasp of historical inevitability, strengthened the belief of ‘four self-confidence’ and ‘anti epidemic’ victory and enhanced young students' mission. The school of economics will continue to guide the Youth League members to study hard, think more, and carry out ideological and political work with higher quality.
