Li Mengxue, vice president of School of behavior and Social Sciences, University of Maryland, visited our college

On the afternoon of September 10, Li Mengxue, vice president of the school of behavior and social sciences of the University of Maryland and director of the Executive Office of international programs, and his party visited our college. Vice President Ding Yibing held working talks with visitors in the 809 reception room of the college. Also attending the meeting was Jiao Guowei, director of the general office and Secretary of foreign affairs of the Sino Japanese Joint Economic Research Center.

During the meeting, vice president Ding Yibing gave a detailed introduction to the college from the aspects of specialty setting, personnel training and international cooperation. Then Vice President Li Mengxue introduced the basic situation of the school of behavior and social sciences of the University of Maryland, and expressed his intention to cooperate with our school. The two sides discussed the joint training of graduate students, short-term training programs in cold and summer, and mutual visits of teachers, and reached a preliminary consensus.

Founded in 1856, the University of Maryland is one of the top 20 public universities in the United States, ranking 30-50 in the world. It is known as the public Ivy League, and is one of the top ten well-known alliance members in the Midwest of the United States. Its economics ranks 22nd in the United States. The university enjoys a high reputation for its excellent teaching and scientific research, and is one of the fastest growing comprehensive research universities in the United States.
